Data is awesome.
I suppose people don’t think to themselves, “I want to be a DBA when I grow up,” but I can assure you – once I comprehended the meaning of databases, I was hoping I get to be one. I mean, the paycheck program is amazing, but I truly love my job. I wake up in the morning feeling excited to go to work.
I started my career with Postgres, which I still use when I need a quick setup at home for some data analysis. I currently use MS SQL at work, and mySQL when setting up drupal and commercial sites. However, since I work with T-SQL, you will find articles about MS SQL Server on this site for the most part. The practices cross-apply anyways.
